I'm Paleo Jim, a local fossil hunter, and I've turned my passion for fossils into an educational, fun and affordable experience for children of all ages.
I regularly go on fossil hunting expeditations to a mine in the tri-State area. I then bring back large quantities of matrix which the children (and adults) can hunt through to find fossils, mostly whale bone and sharks teeth of varing species and size. These are real fossils that are between 5 million and 24 million years old and, when found, your child is the first person to ever hold them (other than me). Plus, they get to keep everything they find!
A fossil hunting event is an amazing, fun and unique choice for birthday parties, scout troups, camps, schools, or really any kind of event where you want the children to have an educational and fun experience.

.... kids were all were hanging on Paleo's every word, and of course they loved digging through the matrix. We had one mother complain that we had raised the bar for parties too high, and we had one of the partiers declare it the best birthday party ever...the adults were into it as much as the kids.
